A few facts about the limonium
What is limonium?
Limonium, is a flower native to the Mediterranean and coastal regions. Prized for its delicate beauty and hardiness, it has become a popular choice in the world of floristry. Its small flowers, grouped in spikes, come in a wide range of colours, from pastels to vibrant hues, adding a touch of elegance and naturalness to any arrangement.
Associated with eternity, fidelity and remembrance, it is a popular flower for weddings, christenings and memorials.
Its versatility makes it an ideal choice for a wide range of floral arrangements, from bridal bouquets to table centrepieces and decorative elements for the home. Finally, its sustainability is worth mentioning: as a preserved flower, it reduces the environmental impact associated with the production and transport of fresh flowers.

Longevity of limonium
When fresh, it has a vase life of 7 to 15 days, depending on environmental conditions and care, which can sometimes be a problem.
The preserved version is therefore an ideal solution as it is long-lasting and requires no water or special care, making it perfect for decorations that need to look fresh for as long as possible.
How to keep preserved limonium in a good condition?
- Avoid any action that may crush, press or bend foliage, petals and flowers.
- Avoid direct or indirect exposure to sunlight.
- Avoid the presence of intense sources of indirect light, including those behind glass or similar surfaces.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to environments with humidity levels above 50%.
- Avoid continuous exposure to temperatures exceeding 30°C.
- The use of these elements is recommended for indoor use only.
Professional applications for limonium
Preserved Limonium is a highly versatile flower that can be used to add texture and volume to floral arrangements thanks to its small, dense flowers.
In comparison, preserved flowers such as roses or hydrangeas may be more suitable if the objective is to create a more striking and central focal point in an arrangement.
In addition, if your work requires the creation of arrangements that need flexibility and variability in colour and shape, we can also combine it with preserved greens such as eucalyptus.

Production and preservation process
- We take great care in selecting and preparing the Limonium stems to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and condition.
- Preservative treatment: The preservative and colorant (50% glycerin + water + colorants) are applied by the absorption method, immersing the lower part of the stems in the liquid. After 24 to 36 hours, when the preservative has been totally absorbed, the product can pass to the next phase.
- Drying: The product passes to the drying station with a higher temperature and a lower percentage of ambient humidity where it will remain for 24 to 48 hours.
- Inspection and packaging: Finally, we remove damaged and wilted leaves and select only the best, healthiest and most attractive stems, and carefully pack it to protect it during transportation and storage.
