Limonium Statice
Information on the preserved statice.
What is Statice?
Statice, also known as limonium, is a flower native to the Mediterranean, although in this case it comes from Holland. Valued for its delicate beauty and durability, it has gained popularity in floristry. Its small flowers, arranged in spikes, offer a variety of colours, from soft pastels to vibrant hues, adding a touch of elegance and freshness to any floral composition.
Symbolically associated with eternity, fidelity and remembrance, it is often chosen for weddings, baptisms and memorials.
Its versatility makes it ideal for many different types of arrangements, such as bridal bouquets, table centrepieces and home decorations. It is also a sustainable alternative as it is a preserved flower, helping to reduce the environmental impact of producing and transporting fresh flowers.

Durability of the Statice
When fresh, it has a vase life of 7 to 15 days, depending on environmental conditions and care, which can sometimes be a problem.
The preserved version is therefore an ideal solution as it is long-lasting and requires no water or special care, making it perfect for those who don’t have the time or experience to look after fresh flowers.
How to keep the preserved Statice in good condition?
- Avoid any action that may crush, press or bend foliage, petals and flowers.
- Avoid direct or indirect exposure to sunlight.
- Avoid the presence of intense sources of indirect light, including those behind glass or similar surfaces.
- Avoid prolonged exposure to environments with humidity levels above 50%.
- Avoid continuous exposure to temperatures exceeding 30°C.
- The use of these elements is recommended for indoor use only.
Professional applications for Statice
For which professionals is the preserved statice useful?
Whether you are an interior designer, florist or event designer, preserved Statice is ideal for adding texture and volume to floral arrangements thanks to its dense, small flowers.
On the other hand, other preserved flowers such as roses or hydrangeas are more suitable if you are looking for a more prominent centrepiece in an arrangement.

This is how we ensure out Statice’s quality
Production and preservation process
- Selection and preparation: We carefully select the Statice stems to ensure that they are in optimal condition.
- Preservative treatment: The preservative and colorant (50% glycerin + water + colorants) are applied by the absorption method, immersing the lower part of the stems in the liquid. After 24 to 36 hours, when the preservative has been totally absorbed, the product can pass to the next phase.
- Drying: The product passes to the drying station with a higher temperature and a lower percentage of ambient humidity where it will remain for 24 to 48 hours.
- Inspection and packaging: Finally, we remove damaged and wilted leaves and select only the best, healthiest and most attractive stems, and carefully pack it to protect it during transportation and storage.
